MEETING FACULTY EXPECTATIONS IN LEARNING SPACE
DESIGN: IMPLEMENTING AND SUSTAINING CLASSROOM
TECHNOLOGY IN THE INFORMATION AGE

This study endeavored to gather information on faculty expectations and at-titudes regarding technology used in classrooms and teaching facilities at CSU, Chico. The study was conducted using a modified Delphi survey method involving three ques-tionnaires administered to a 50-member faculty experts group over a four-week period. The questionnaires gathered data on the following research questions:
RQ1) What technology is desired by faculty at CSU, Chico for use in University classrooms?
RQ2) What best practices can be identified at CSU, Chico as contributing to the successful use of technology in the classroom?

RQ3) What measures can be implemented at CSU, Chico in meeting faculty ex-pectations for the availability of technology in university classrooms and teaching fa-cilities?
The data is intended to inform decision makers and provide guidance to fac-ulty using technology for teaching and learning at CSU, Chico. Nineteen people from the 50-member experts group responded to one or more of the three survey question-naires for a total level of participation in the research project of 38%.
